• This flatworm was named after Barack Obama in 2011 — one of 612 species christened after the president during his term. It lives only on the Atlantic rainforest floor in Brazil, making it a creature most people will never see, yet bearing the name of the most visible person on Earth.
• Obama ladislavii has no brain, no heart, and no lungs, yet it hunts earthworms by detecting chemical signals through its body. It secretes enzymes that liquefy prey from the outside, essentially dissolving dinner before swallowing it.
