• Günther's dik-diks are married for life. A mating pair stays together year-round, moving through their territory in lockstep, sleeping side by side, and grooming each other's face and neck. When danger comes—a snake, a jackal, a martial eagle—they sprint in a zigzag pattern that would confuse a much larger predator, sometimes so erratically that they separate and reunite only once the threat has passed.
