• Diplacodes trivialis belongs to the Libellulidae family and is commonly called the chalky percher or ground skimmer. Its distribution stretches from the Indian Ocean islands of Seychelles through the Middle East, across East Asia and down to the Australasian region. Countries where it occurs include Seychelles, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, India, the Maldives and, further south, New Guinea and Australia.
