About the Mada Paddy Frog

The Mada paddy frog, Micryletta erythropoda, is a species in the family Microhylidae found in Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes. A 2018 study reclassified it from Microhyla to Micryletta, and a 2019 study showed that populations in southern Myanmar and Thailand previously assigned to M. inornata actually belong to M. erythropoda, expanding its known range beyond Vietnam.
