• A great white's teeth are replaced throughout its entire life — it can grow and shed over 20,000 teeth across 50 years. • When a great white breaches hunting seals, it launches itself at 56 km/h out of the water — the only fish on Earth powerful enough to leave the ocean entirely. The ambush lasts under three seconds.
