• A 2024 analysis shows the clouded tiger-cat's cloud-forest home has shrunk by more than half, from 824,923 km² to just 409,371 km², a 50.4% loss driven by climate change and deforestation. That dramatic cut means the cat now roams a landscape half the size it once did.
