• A clouded tiger-cat weighs less than a house cat — just 1.5 to 3 kg — yet hunts in the canopy 30 metres above the forest floor like a miniature leopard. Its cloud-like markings aren't decoration; they're a three-dimensional camouflage that breaks up its outline against dappled Andean light, making it invisible even when moving.
