About the Chital

In the dappled light of the forest, the chital moves with effortless elegance, its large brown eyes watchful as it pads silently across the leaf-strewn floor, its white-spotted coat glistening like a scattering of stars against the rich earth tones of its surroundings. With each step, its slender legs seem to barely touch the ground, as if it is floating across the landscape, driven by a quiet urgency to find the next patch of tender grasses or succulent leaves. As it runs, its coat shimmers and ripples, a mesmerizing display of speed and agility that belies the gentle nature of this most beautiful of deer.
