• A rusty-spotted genet can stretch from head to tail tip over a meter long, yet still tip the scales at just a few kilograms. Its body measures 42-52 cm (17-20 in) and its tail adds another 40-53 cm (16-21 in), while it weighs only 1.3-3 kg (2.9-6.6 lb).
• Unlike many carnivores, the rusty-spotted genet eats both meat and plant matter, making it a true omnivore.
